Is This Intermediate Housing OK????
I have a very small nick in my intermediate housing in the rear rotor area near where the spark plugs are. I have attempted to measure it and can tell you that it is under .001. However, I can still barely catch it with my nail. Is this an acceptable blemish, or do I need to have the housing lapped? If so, do I have to do all the housings? I circled it in the pic below.
Cannot tell by the picture. You could probably sand it and be fine but why risk it...You are making lots of power (500 + RWHP) so I would recommend lapping. Be sure to remeasure endplay.
