installing MSD 6A , explain installation, do you need to bypass igniter?

(94 FD single turbo)

I was wondering how to install the MSD 6A for a RX7 (1994) to the Leading coil.

I was under the assumption that the orange and black go to the coil and the red wire and white go the igniter. I've been told that it goes to the ignition start wire. Do I have to bypass the stock igniter?

Thanks for the help.

This is what we did on an 1980 Rx7. I don't know how the hook up is different from yours.
