is it possible to hook up injectors back wards?

i know cars have keyd clips that prevent them from being put on upside-down. but what if i wanna put an Oval-connector injectors (purple top T2 injector) in a car that has square-connector harness' (DSM)?

i would either have to cut that stock dsm plug off, and just put blade connectors on the wires, or splice in a second connector (oval) to plug into the T2 inj. (and leave the stock square DSM plug dangling.

but, im just curious, is there a problem if the wires get reversed when plugging them into the injector? do they only work when wired one way? or will i fry my computer?

You should be able to connect it any way you like without frying anything or any negative effects.
