I'm just saying...
There is one thing that I don't like about rx7s. All rx7s. Every respectable sports car ever made has had frameless doors, except the rx7. I think it would've looked really good with them because it just adds a little more of that exotic look. I've even contemplated what it would take to custom fab doors.
I suppose you could call it trivial. I'm just coming from driving Nissans. My 240 and my 300z have frameless doors and before those I drove eclipses which also have them and its just a preference. What do you guys think? Would it be possible to fab some doors?

Shouldn't this be in the Lounge?
After having a bunch of "frameless" doors, **** EM.
I used to own CRX's, and it was a pain - without the frame, dropping the window even just a fraction would cause the window glass to shimmy and shake while driving.
Also, they tend to leak more.
On top of that, most are security risks, as thieves just pry the glass.
I LOVE my FC doors cause of the frames!

Why dont you save yourself the trouble of fabbing doors and just drop a rotary in one of the so called "respectable sports cars" you owned before such as your eclipse
Even for a show queen car I dont think it would make a difference in the appearance of the car enough to justifyl the time and cost that would go in to doing it.

First off, I didn't say an eclipse was a respectable sports car, I just said I've owned them and they are an example of what I was talking about.
As far as shaking and rattling, if they are secured right they don't. Neither of my Nissans rattle. Leaking I have had a problem with but that is only if they need new seals anyway.
I was just making conversation and commenting on something I noticed. Hope I didn't offend anyone because I was actually saying that the rx7 IS a respectable sports car.

i personally HATE the framless doors of the before mentioned cars. iv had some roomates with them and they ALL leaked water/air. i could not stand the air leaks on them even at 70 they were the worst design ever made in my opinion.
but everyone has there own opinion thats just mine
