MT Ignition - Leading or Traing???

I replaced the wires on my First Gen, but... oops, I forgot to check which is leading and trailing 1 and 2.

I'm just becoming familiar with the rotery engine and dont know where the T's and L's are supposed to go. I have a first gen 12A engine.

Could someone help me with this.

L1 is connected the first rotor housing, the front of the engine on the top, and L2 is connected to the same housing but on the bottom spark plug. Is this correct?

OR

Is L1 supposed to be connected the same as above, but T1 supposed to be connected where I have L2?

Confused.
Thanks for your help.

L1 and L2 are the bottom plugs.

Then download a copy of your specific year FSM per the link in my signature. :-)
