ND idle problems

just purchased a 90 tII, due to my 87 na blowing a seal. Idle wants to stay right above 1k and alot, i can get it to idle down usually by rocking the clutch a little or reving it up. has newer vac lines, new o2 sensor(harness wire is a bit crusty and diagnostic shows a code 17 for the o2 feedback) think the code 17 is the problem but the check engine light only comes on sometimes. does this weird idle in summer and winter. i do drive in sub zero temps -40 a day ago, and it takes a while to warm up, no garage i let it sit and idle at least until the needle hits the bottom of the temp guage, and don't go over 3k until fully warm. anyone who knows what there talking about give me your opinion, in other words if you've had your 7 for a month and think you know what your talking about don't waste my time.

I've been driving a 7 almost daily for the last 5 years, never had an accident(only 23 now, i'm crossing my fingers on this one since i drive very, very, very agressively), only gone to a shop once (cruise control wanted to make it start and idle at 6k on my n/a),( 87 n/a, gold/red, racing beat header, presilencer, custom 2.5 dual catback, custom intake, removed emissions, 148k started at 80k // 90 tII, red/black, racing beat fuel cut controler, 3 full stainless exhaust, rebuilt 65k ago, 153k on the body
