Well, it lasted twice as long as my motor (mine gave out at 63k). Sorry to hear that dude...I lost my girl and my motor within a month of each other. And guess what? My R1 is back on the road and I'm happier than a pig in **** . The girl? Don't really think about her...my FD makes me happier than she did anyway !

Talking

Thirdgenrx7: on average about twice a day, sometimes three times. This is gonna sound corny, but I wasn't in love with her. It was just sex. Better than nothing, but not what I'm looking for.

Rxcrazy: With the help of a friend, I was able to pull my motor. It was a royal pain in the ***. We didn't have the service manual, though. If you want more info, feel free to PM me.

I would get a compression check done. Also are you getting full boost? Have you checked for any vacuum lines that are kinked or popped off?

I've got most of the front part of the engine bay apart, air box, IC, battery, etc....It idles like a POS you can tell something is wrong...I did the vac. hose job so I'm looking around now to check.
But I'm guessing the motor is gone and I want to fix it before it feeds a seal to the turbos...as for boost, once past 2k rpms it pulls like normal so...

if your car idles and pulls hard there is no way your engine is blown.

it kinda idles, I mostly have to hold the gas to it to keep it running, with the a/c on it bogs bad when I let out the clutch and start moving...but once I get it going it hauls just as much *** as before.

and yes all the important stuff has been checked and gets checked everytime I stop at a gas station

1) do you have a boost guage?
1A) Whats your vacuum pressure at idle?
1B) Under WOT, does your boost pulse? Or Stay consistant.

2) If no boost guage, then go borrow one, or get a compression check done.

Moving to the tech section.

I have the same problem idles rough and lean but boost fine and rich. I have been checking and replacing things for the last three weeks still no fix. I am pretty close to either rebuilding or buying a engine.

If it idles up and down and doesn't idle for more than 10 seconds on its own, blows black smoke out of the exhaust at idle or while driving I'd bet on the MAP sensor as well.

I too think i killed my engine on my 85 gsl-se. I was driving fine until i got the bug to use the rx to its full potential, i ripped it threw first, second, and third, when i went to take fourth it didnt want to catch so i slammed it down only to realize that i had slammed it to second like a fool. after hours of fooling with every part of the motor, i found out that i have no compression on one of the rotors. When it comes to rotory, im absolutly cluless, I have a better chance sticking my head up a bulls ***. can any one help me fix the problem?
THANKS in advance!!!
