How would you guys handle a seven engine fire?
Just say your PD goes, your driving along, and bam you start to see smoke rising from the sides of your hood.
WHAT DO YOU DO???!?!??!?!
*du-duh*
I was thinking the best way to handle this is to make a fuel cut switch. Cut the fuel and then put out the fire with your extinguisher while the engine is running? that way it will stall out quickly and you'll have the fire out. If you just cut the engine, fuel will still be in the fuel rails and it it will be seeping out of the PD, making the fire come back after you put it out.
How would you guys handle this?
lol just curious.
*goddamn forums... thats all i have to say

If I had a 13b (12a owns joo!!!!) I'd simply make sure that I had a functioning and correctly installed pulsation dampener. If they fail often enough that a fire is a real concern, then they should be replaced as part of routine maintenance rather than waiting till they chunk and burn.
Yea, I replaced mine "just in case" - 120k miles on the engine, and the cost of a PD is cheap compared to rebuilding all the plastics in the engine bay.
I'd probably just hit my fuel cut off switch, let the engine spin until I got to the side of the road, grab my fire extinguisher, and go at it.
