replace the rear with an aftermarket chuck, however the housing still remains a weak link. there is a kit that allows the use of a cobra 8.8 IRS rear however its $$

yea the stock one won't hold up to launching very well with slicks, if thats what you'll be using the car for?

u can always go with an after market rear-end such as the kazz or u can use the T2 rear-end wich is a little easier on the street and still holds decent power. 3rd gen rear-ends are pretty shitty as far as holding good power espically with slicks

get a Kaaz or TII diff if you are doing drag racing with that much power. Wheel hop will destroy the stock torsions as well. Next will be your axles, then the case itself. chromoly axles will help and a pfsupercars craddle will keep the case from splitting in half. good luck
