How many miles?
I feel ignorant asking this, but I just don’t know. I have a S5 N/A engine that I just got rebuilt with a full street port. How many miles should I put on it for a proper break-in? I’ve heard 500 miles, 1000 miles, 1500 miles, etc. I thought I would get some more opinions. I appreciate the help.

Just my $0.02, but when I did mine, I babied it for the first 500 miles and leaned on it a bit harder for the second 500 miles. Changed oil after both. Thereafter, rock and roll. The engine had 100K on it when I wrecked it but showed no evidence of getting older or losing compression.
