buy Triple A and hope for the best.Get them to tow it when it does.
But you know already it has bad seals so if it leaves you on the side of the road, don't blame anyone but yourself.
I drove 50 miles on One rotor.I knew the engine had the biscuit so I really didn't care.If the engine Died completely at least I was closer so the tow call would be cheaper.
I made it home though.

... sorry.

what evidence besides mileage do you have to believe something is currently wrong with it?

if the car is running well and you're not burning oil or antifreeze, just leave well enough alone and enjoy driving it. trust me, there's plenty of time for stuff to go wrong and have headaches and gray hairs over.

^-- LMAO just as PJ says most NA rotaries last a long time.

unless there is some obvious sign you should just drive and enjoy the car.

and if you are the paranoid type . start building a second motor . and make it the way you want it . ported maybe? turbo maybe ? just start building a backup motor to swap into the car when the time calls for it .

My na has 170k miles on it and still runs strong. Blows a little smoke if pushed past 7.5k rpm but perfect otherwise. Unless you are excessively burning oil or coolant, don't worry about it and just enjoy the ride.
Ps. Stock na engines don't make much power past 7k anyway.

well i drove it about 800miles and now when i let my foot off the accelerator, it sounds like there are scratching noises coming out of the engine. im guessing the apex seals are done. im just hoping that the rotors and housings arent scratched up too much now. i guess there is no real way of knowing until i overhaul the engine.

Cocaine makes you paranoid..
KRONIC makes you hear scratching noises coming from a Rotary engine!..lol!

(sorry,I had too!..really..!)

TRUE STORY:funny though,I was working on the front cover/pulleys today and every time I tightened the pulley down and I went to test the rotation,I heard a funny 'screech'..
I thought "ah ****,the rubber seal on the hub"..

Nope..
damn timing pin indicator on the front cover rubbing on the pulley. It was slightly bent.

..So to celebrate, I did a Big Blast of Blow and now I am Scared My engine is gonna explode......HAHAHHAHAHAHA!..I think I hear a mouse fart ....in Idaho!!!..Just kidding!,God!, you guys are easy!..lol!

i only go about 20 mph in first gear and the engines revving about 5k. i can get up to about 40 in second and so on. mabey im just driving like a grandma or something. or im expecting more out of the car. i think it accelerates abnormaly slow because i have bad compression because of bad apex seals. i dont really know though, im just a noob. i did a compression check without any tools and it seemed like it was firing ok. it was going at a good rythym with no irregular skips or anything. if you heard the engine you would probably say somethings wrong with it, most people do. a guy was looking at my car in a parkinglot and right when i turned it on and started driving he said the apex seals were bad. just another thing that leads me to believe i have bad seals.
