How Does Me TII Turbo Work?
I recently posted a seeminly simple question and have yet to get a reply. I simply want to know if my recently purchased 1988 TII turbo is funtioning properly! Even guidance to a sight that can help would be usefull. Am I not looking in the right area for the answers? If so, please correct me on this. I just need to know when the "boost gauge" is supposed to show that it is "kicked in". Would like some more info on how this turbo works. Thank you.

you should read boost on the gauge anytime the motor is under load. reving the motor in neutral will show nothing. accelerate and the needle should rise as the revs build, shift and back to zero then back up as you accelerate. if cruising under part throttle you may not read max boost or only a small amount. the turbo works under load and is rpm dependent.
