how do i install a boost Controller in a fc

I have an 87 t2 and i wanted to look into geting a boost Controller. is there a wrightup somewhere that tells you how to install one? i looked and cant find one. what dose it do and how hard is it to install. and is there one that you guys recommend to use thanks.
