How do I ID my engine?
Hi, newby here...
I have a Fiat X 1/9 with a 13B connected to a Fiero Transmission. (For those of you that do not know what a Fiat X 1/9 is, think early Toyota MR2) Yes, it is an all out race car.
Now, it says 13b on the block, but what else do I need to know about it? What is 6 port vs 4 port?
Thanks for helping me on this.
I have most of the parts to make it run, however, I need to know what I have before I can look or order any more.
Eric

A 4 port engine will have just that - 4 intake "holes" on the side of the engine. A 6 port..will have 6 of them.
A series 4 (1986-1988) 13B will have an EGR on the top of the engine. The series 5 (1989-1992) will not.
