How bad is this iron damage

Not sure exactly what happened, but when I pulled the engine apart, almost all my corner seals were broken but the apex and side seals were fine. One rotor has a pretty good corner seal shaped gouge in it. Had an OMP problem and assume that somehow caused it. Nothing else seems wrong with the iron, and it doesn't seem any part is raised around the indent.

Thanks,
Dale

my opinion ... i probably wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

is it a leak? technically, yes, it is, but i'm not sure it's big enough to be significant enough to affect overall performance or efficiency in an appreciable manner.

where on the housing is it?

If your side seals weren't effected by this, my instinct would be to not worry about it. Take in mind that I am not a rotary engine expert.

that's a corner seal area. use a razor blade and see if it catches on it. i personally would use it. it's small size compared to the seal, don't think it would cause a problem. do i see sanding scratches there?

Its at the top of the housing. you can just see the port on the first pic.
No sanding, I just hit it with a mild scochbrite pad on a drill to clean it up. They are just superficial marks that show up bright under flash.

Sounds like not a major issue. Thanks all, that ones less thing to worry about!
