hotter spark plugs?

I asked this in the 2nd gen and no one helped me

Do hotter spark plugs make a difference?
If so, how hot do I go?
Do I need to adjust my timing? I am running with RB suggestion of 10 degrees leadding and such
I have an '88 n/a with basic mods plus

You are not going to need hotter spark plugs unless you plan on moving north for the winter. modified motors usually tend to need colder spark plugs, but with the modifications and the fact you are driving this car on the street I would stay with the stock setup. cars run at constant high rpm's on a track may need the cooler heat range, but with my race car I still use the stock heat range.
