Talking Homebuilt

OK, here's my story!

12A (large pile in the back yard each with 5 good apex seals)
Home Made aluminum Holley intake
Blowthrough 650 DP
#69 jets in the front
#99 jets in the rear
rerouted vacuum reference for power valve
removed choke bowl (channel locks, and a die grinder)
Black plastic floats (neoprene I believe)
Carb hat (steel home Made)
Exhaust manifold to fit 2.3 ford turbo (Home Made) (are you seeing the trend here?)

I run c-14 and better VP fuel premixed with 100-1 synthetic 2-stroke oil. I don't run an intercooler. I run a big aftermarket oil cooler with a fan. I run a Scirocco radiator. I do not run a wastegate (it is wired closed). No tach. I burry a 15 psi boost guage before I launch. In a 1250 LB sandrail I went 0-89 in 4.00 seconds at the Glenn Helen Sand drags in 1993.

The combo works well, but after countless Apex situations. I have just recently found a plethora of aftermarket parts. I had no Idea that anyone made aftermarket parts until a few years ago.

I have bought a RacingBeat Holley intake and am looking to move up from the 2.3 Turbo. Is there a reasonably priced upgrade? Or what would be the next step?

In the not so distant future I would like to run a 13B also. I have been asking the question regarding the front cover "Will a GSL-SE cover fit the newer 13B's? A 12A cover does not fit on them!

If anyone has questions or comments about my combo or even suggestions all are welcome. :smiley_12

Glad to find a Forum about Felix!
