So my cars running great compressions great . Except I notice recently that my shifter is starting to bounce some . Plus when I go about 55 my front ends starting to shimmy . Also when I brake it does really bad . I have changed calipers the whole way around and brake pads . All belts, hoses, spark plugs, heater core . Ecu , 86k miles . Cars running strong . Oh one more thing . Rear sway bar bushings plus sway bar links bushings I need . Any ideas?

 

Have you checked all of the steering and suspension components for play ? Where do you feel this shimmy ? At your feet ? Your seat ? Steering wheel? Does it get worse when you brake?

 

Slack was in the wheels . I replace front rotors , inner and outer wheel bearings calipers and break pads. So after a week of going to work and working on the rx7 after work and doing all that . I went to lunch from work a lady was in front of me ready to leave the parking lot . She was turning left over three lanes of traffic and a medium . When she realized she couldn't go that way she turned her turning signal right and put it inreverse . With a mouth full of Burger I tried to shift in reverse before I knew it she was on top of my hood .. such a sad . Day . My question now is how much is a Mazda rx 7 1987 worth 86k miles on it motors strong has been checked runs great no rust garage kept its entire life never seen a winter . The insurance company tells me they don't have a blue book for the car and gonna go off of what dealer ship would sell the car ? Any informations would help greatly thanks
