Angry Hence my name, Broken 7

Ok, this is what happened. I'm at a total loss. I'm mormon and I went on my mission to California, but before I left I bought an 87 Rx-7 Turbo. Ran beautifully and I cruised around for a couple days before I had to leave. I told my best friend to take care of it while i was gone cuz I was planning on doing a lot of work to the car itself. This was about 8 months ago. I get a call about two weeks ago from my friend telling me he wrecked my car and he doesn't know whats wrong besides the body work. Needless to say I said some really mean things on the phone and gave him a black eye when I got back.... (i'm actually scheduled to take anger management classes, so please understand that because i'm mormon, my parents feel thats its wrong to take the medications because they can be highly addictive....) well, now I'm back and the car is soooo broken. There is a gash in the rear corner panel where the medal looks like its been folded like a sardine can, but looking over the vehicle, it only looks like body damage. I even went underneath the car and there were a couple branches, but nothing else. the headlights were completely busted but he went and bought a new pair for me...this is whats confounding me. The car won't start. I put a new battery in it thinking it might have just died, but there is no power at all. The lights inside don't turn on and the starter doesn't even activate. I even tried just rolling the car and popping the clutch and nothing. Not a single flash of power. I'm really needed help on this, cuz I don't have the money to rebuild the engine now and I've got a limited amount of time before I have to go back. Any help would be extremely appreciated!

Start with the basics, your problem sounds like electrical system problem. Check your battery cables and the main fuse box under the hood to start with.
