I've read several comments on here about the best and worst oil. I have been using Mobil 1 in all my piston engines with great success, but have been told you can't use this oil in a Rotary. Now here's the deal, can I use it in a premix engine? I removed the injectors and oil pump and will be mixing straight into the tank. I plan to use a really good 2-stroke oil. You guys have been very helpful about the ratio, but this is my last outstanding concern. If Mobil 1 won't work, how about Castrol 20/50? This car will be run hard and put up wet, so the right oil is very important. Thanks in advance for your help.

 

Mobil 1 is fine, even if you hadn't removed the OMP. Castrol 20W-50 is also fine. As for the premix, use any brand you want that's rated TCW3.

 

you should be fine using the Mobil 1 if that's what you want to use. just an aside, but my opinion is this: the brand of oil you use is not half as important as your judgment and oil changing habits.

 

hey quick question bought amsoil interceptor rated for api-tc and jasco fc specified equipment. Is that oil okay to continue running in my car? Also what is the difference between TC-W3 and API-TC / JASCO FC?
