Question help with TII trany pinouts

im wondering if someone can tell me what the electrical pin-outs are on the tail end of a 5 speed TII trany?

there is one sensor looking plug that sticks out to the passenger side with 2 wires, and another that points right back (on the drivers side of the trany) that has 4 wires (2 red, 2 green).

im assuming one set or the other is a reverse light switch, and another is neutral safety??

im doing the harness in this little speedster of mine and need to know what is what as for these 6 trany wires.

any help?

The huge sensor with 4 wires coming out is your 5th/reverse switch. The switch is merely making or breaking the circuit depending on if you are in 5th gear or reverse. For a custom speedster all you're concerned with is reverse. I don't remember off hand which color that correlates to, but you can figure it out in about 13 seconds with a DMM.

I'm currently drawing a blank on the switch on the passenger side , I guess it's been a while since I've blown a trans up and had it out. However, you should be able to find this out pretty easily if you download the FSM, the links are stickied in all the FAQs. In your application, you won't need whatever it is anyway.

the one in the rear is 5th/reverse, the JDM cars only had a reverse switch here, and the US cars had a double switch, they turn the EGR on in 5th.

the other switch is the neutral switch, Mazda used it to turn on (or off the AWS system)

all three of these switches are just open/closed switches. for example the reverse light wire gets power, and when you put it in reverse the switch closes and the lights turn on, simple
