help! rebuilding '85 13B for turbo app.

I hvae heard that I will only be able to boost up to 7-9 psi. Someone reasponed to me that the rotors have high compression and that I would need low compression rotors to get higher psi. > higher psi = higher horsepwer? <

I am currently rebuilding the engine now. I need know if I should have the rotors machined to be low compression or if its possible that T2 rotors or 93+ rotors would fit. Thanks for all your replys

edit:

I have a base model '85 going to scrap the 12A and fly by witha '85 13B

I wonder whats the highest anyone has gone, well as far as keeping the car street worthy. What kind of exhaust you got?

I have run high compression rotors 89-91 (9.7:1) with 25psi with no problems. For a street application this works really well because even at low boost the car makes really good power. Just make sure you have enough fuel and your EGT's stay below 1480 you should be ok.

Keep the 12a, go with low compression rotors from the 12at, and give it a healthy port job. Then laugh at the 2nd gens as you pass them.

Do you know how hard it is to find a 12AT motor state side nearly impossible but I have a set. A better choice would be finding early 13b rotors '74-76 13b's they have 9.2 compression but the stock 9.4 rotors in the gslse are fine for turbo just depends on how you set it up. Like the previous post there are guys running 9.7 rotors with boost.

Is it possible to machine the rotors to become low compression?
