Help , Fried Oxy Sensor wile racing/ Does this F-Up A/F Readings???

ON my N/A 2nd gen 89GXL The header fried my Oxy Wire and after that my car started stalling whenever at idle. I also found it harder to start after words. IT still revs fine though and eccelerates normally I think.

My ? is will this mess up my A/F ratio and cause lean condition wile shorting? Im really worried about it. The Oxy sensor looks like its been in a fire, its like charcoal black.

yes it will screw up the readings if it isn't at all. not sure if you totally fired the wires off or what here, but you need to get it replaced. generally if it isn't seeing o2 it will run rich, so i'm guessing you are running very rich with little to no reading. if it is too bad i believe it would throw a check engine light.

Funny the wrie is completly off and the engine light never came on.

I replaced it already and the car idles fine. In fact it started idling this morning without help from me steping on the gass but it was all wierd like 900rpms and real shaky. I guess it was runnig rich. As far as the stalling before who knows mabey something to do with limp mode.
