hey guys, I have found out that my manager has a clean 2ng gen covert for sale that runs good he says, and is clean for like CHEAP under 1000 bucks. But there is one little thing. He says the only problem is that when you start it it just revs out the roof. He also says that its some rubber moterized thing (he dosent know) and im not to good with rotaries, so what is this thing he is talking about?

 

well if to the roof means like 2500 to 3000 RPM thats normal, its part of the warm up procces. it should go to 3000 then sit around 2000 for 30 seconds to a few minutes then down to 740

 

I think he means, it just keeps revving up up and up

 

If thats the case then it might have a stuck throttle body or the throttle cable is jammed.
