Unhappy help!!!

have low oil pressure, 14 psi @idle, 30-40psi@3500rpm--
starts at 70 psi then drops within 5 mins...
??? could I have bad parts inside..oil pump, pressure regulator or o.p.adjustment screw, or does this sound like the engine is krap?????
should I replace parts first, or just replace engine, and do you have suggestion re complete engines?

Sounds like you might have a problem with your oil pressure regulator, oil thermal pellet,or a bad pump.
But does sound like your thermal pellet.
Good Luck

Do u have a S4 or a S5 Rx-7. The S5 metering pump is electrical so check the pump to see if its functioning properly. the way it needs to be tested is to acutally measure hoe much the metering jets pump out in an alloted time period. Also, check your oil and change it regularly. Also the Stock oil reader does suck donkey *****.
