Help!

I am days away from starting my rebuild and my son accidentally knocked my center iron into my front iron and did this!

I just had these resurfaced at Chips. The gouges are deep enough to catch my fingernail. Is the iron shot? I had a friend suggest tracing the side seal path to see if it interacts with where the damage occurred. Any help or advice here would be greatly appreciated.

I think I would try to polish anything above the surface out and run it. I don't think they are large enough to catch anything like a port can or a big gouge in the same direction as seal rotation if you has debris from broken seals jammed between rotor and plate.
