my 89 vert has a condition where it starts to stumble when given anything over a quarter throtle. car sat for about 6 months the car is totaly stock the air pump hasn't had a belt on it since I've had the car so may be the cat pluged the car is stubling before the secondarys kick in have replaced fuel filter and ran good ran the crap out of it to make sure. about 6-8 0 to 80 mph runs total of 15 minutes including a warm up period and cool down. called it fixed got in to drive that nite let it warm up about five minutes to get the moisture off the windshield drove a- bout two blocks and started acting up again. car will idle all day long perfect?? engine has good compression my next thought would be cloged primarys??

 

Do you have any deadspots in your TPS? Also check your plugs to see what they look like. You want a nice light brown color if there any thing else that will tell you your problem.

 

rocking rotary thanks for the suggestion on the tps the plugs I forgot to mention earlier I did change. I haven,t gotten around to pulling codes. just been going threw the thought feels fuel related. and never have really bothered much with the car just bought it to do a vert to t2 project then had to post pone for a bit.

 

update tried to pull trouble codes got no codes so tps should be good?

 

the tps isn't going to through a code your going to need to ohm it out and open and close the throttle to make sure its progressive with no dead spots or spikes.

 

about what ohm readings should I come up with or am I just looking for a constant flow not so much a certain set variable.
