i have no idea where my grounding points and i need to clean them.

hello, first of all there's no such thing as an '86 GTU, only base, sport, luxury and GXL models were available. The GTU was introduced in '88. Having said that, it doesn't really matter, the grounding should be the same on all of them (same engine). This should answer all of your questions:
