Greddy Elbow and A/C Load

I have been having problems with my idle when I am running A/C. My FD doesn’t seem to adjust for the A/C load when its on. Otherwise idle and A/C are fine. I talked to a shop in Houston and the Mechanic there tells me its probably because of the Greddy Elbow and that I need to have a bung installed so I can run a hose back to the motor. I thought that was only used for the 3k warm up but he tells me it sends additional air to the motor to compensate for the extra A/C load. Has anyone else had this problem or am I way off. Thanks

I have a Cosmo engine but I can't remember where the BAC is located but that is what holds the idle up when a large load is on the engine.

It depends on where the hose goes. If it comes from the elbow and goes to the other side of the TB then it quite possibly is the problem.

I am an FC guy or else I would know more

I thought the BAC valve might be bad so I replaced it. Wasn't it
