Gaskets

Does anybody know if anybody makes gaskets or gasket kits for the 13B- REW besides Mazda like felpro. I have seen the kits that Atkins sells but i dont need a whole engine set. i just need some individual gaskets like TB, upper and lower intake manafold, front cover and a couple of little gaskets for the manafolds for some blockoff plates.

Is it just best to get them from Mazda??

Tb does not have a gasket. For the intake and block off plates, make your own out of the dark gray gasket material. Front cover can be mounted with silicone, no gasket. You will need to make a change on the oil galley o-ring, but I don't recall exactly what that is.

When i took the throttlebody off of the uim there was a gasket and on the other side there is an o-ring type gasket. I have a leak on the front cover and it seems like with the high level of pressure there it would not be a good idea to use just silicone. I guess i could just make the blockoff plate gaskets like you said.

The front cover to the front iron oil galley seals with and o-ring, the entire cover has a paper like gasket to seal to the front iron. If you omit the o-ring, you have little or no oil pressure and will toast the bearings and e-shaft quickly, don't ask how I know, it was my first rebuild on that one.

If Atkins has all of the gaskets you need, go with them, good people.

i wouldnt trust atkins personally , there has been quite alot of "quality" questionability, by many of us in the NW lalty ( people local to the shop....)

id recomend www.Mazdatrix.com, or id try and find a localized place in cali, if thats where your from..
