gas gauge issue

gas gauge issue

i got a fc with a gas gauge issue. it will read a full tank down to about half anything lower than a half tank the gauge drops to empty. ive tried changing the fuel pump and float. can anyone help or has anyone had this problem??

never had this problem but the problem probably lies either with the fuel sender or the gauge.

is the fuel level sender in the tank with the pump and float??

the rod that holds the float may also be bent upward.
