Fuel injector blue printing...if so where?

I just got a new set of 160lb/h injectors from Marren, they didn't come with a blueprint or spec sheet...I was kinda hoping they would.
My question is, is it worth sending them in (to marren or RC eng) to have them blueprinted to make sure everything is good.
Also, should I send them back to Marren, who claims to match them to within 2%.??
Any thoughts?

RC states:
"At the conclusion of the test, a printed report is produced. This report lists: fuel flow rates (in pounds-per-hour and cubic centimeters per minute) before and after cleaning, and spray pattern assessments for each injector tested. Also included is the "system balance" number which is the flow difference, expressed in a percentage, between the injectors having the highest and lowest flow rates amongst the lot of injectors tested. The system's total fuel delivery in lbs/hr. and cc/min along with a computation of potential horsepower at three different brake specific fuel consumption rates concludes the report."

And Marren says:
"Marren Fuel Injection offers a balancing and blueprinting fuel injector service. This service allows you to get peak performance from your engine and eliminates the guesswork. "

It sounds like RC Eng gives more info about the injectors, but Marren sounds like they will balance them (sounds more useful). Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about this?

These are going into an FD, I plan on going single some day, but not in the near future...but I am going to install them when the new secondary rail comes, and adjust the PFC accordingly.

Should I send them in while they are out of the car?
Thanks

as long as you have the money, why not? it would seem to be worth the peace of mind ... although, i must say that i'm kinda curious as to why you'd doubt brand new injectors ??? but don't just do the new ones, get all your injectors done at the same time, because i'd be more concerned about the ones already in use - they're almost 10 years old - as opposed to the new ones.

I was more concerned with the new ones being matched since they are 160lb/h and a couple % points difference starts to affect amount of fuel in each chamber.
I will probably send in the old ones (primary) when I take them out, but I was asking about the new ones since I have them sitting infront of me in a box ready to ship out. I figure if I am going to do it, might as well make sure it is done right.

Any thoughts on Marren vs. Rc Engineering?

yeah ... i understand your concern, but at what duty cycle do you intend to run those injectors? aren't they there as supplementals?

anyway ... i honestly cannot say which would be better between RC Engineering and Marren Motorsports. up until now, i've never had a need to deal with either. however, like you, i've done some basic research on them both, and to me, it seems that RC Engineering has slightly more to offer. however ... i may be wrong.

SUpplementals? I am not sure what you mean...
They won't be run at very high duty until I go single, but then they will be tuned for good A/F ratios (not that they won't for the lower duty as well..)

by supplementals i meant, i was thinking that you got them as extra injectors, just to supplement your stock injectors. so they wouldn't be run at a very high duty cycle - just there make sure that the stock injectors don't leave you dry when you need them.

however, i guess i was mistaken ... you're replacing 2 of your stockers with the 160 lb/hr, is that it?

Yup, I am leaving the primarys stock (550cc) and changing the secondarys (these new ones, 1600cc), I shouln't have a problem with the primarys leaving me dry because the secondarys will kick in when the fuel demands reach the necessary levels.

Update: I contacted Marren and they told me that the injectors I purchased from them are tested and matched.
So in that case I am considering sending them to RC Eng to get their flow specs on the injectors. If nothing else I will have a correct flow rate to enter into the PFC.

cool ... i think it would be worth just so you have a visual of what you're starting with - something you can file away and maybe refer to someday for troubleshooting. what about the primaries? you gonna send those, too?

glad everything seems to be working out.

Yea I will send those also, I just wish I had more time!! This week is finals week, so I hope to have a little time to play during chirstmas break...
I agree, knowing the starting point with the fuel system will be nice.
Thanks for bouncing ideas!
