Fuel flow rate sensor/gauge?

I would like to find a way of measuring the flow of fuel to the injectors to make a fuel remaining/flow rate gauge based on fuel consumed instead of the inaccurate float sender. Can anyone recommend a good flow meter that can handle high psi fuel lines? I just want the parts so I can put it together myself for relatively cheap, preferably as a complete kit. Thanks in advance

Are we talking about fuel injection with a bypass-type FPR?
Very complicated...

Im not exactly sure how much was involved in the system as we only had the boat for about a month, but you might dig around for info on Scarab (boats).
There was a small moniter that gave different readings and even showed how much fuel had ran through the sensor.
