Which fuel filter when on premix?

Hello whoevers reading this.
I just done about my 300rith mile in my 12A powered Chevette and the paper element fuel filter has gummed up from the premix i'm using!
I'm running 100 to 1 and using bog standard 20/40 mineral oil. I'm going to go to a 2 stroke oil like millers etc but 2 questions....

100 to 1 a good mix? its a standard motor on nikki.

...and what filter? I'm thinking a fine metal mesh one that wont swell up from oil.

I've just swapped the standard mazda Fuel pump for a facet one as I thought it the mazda one had died!
The Facet one has a small filter screwed in place but i'd like a pre-filter filter

Heres the car if interested.....

continue to use your stock filter and i just get an extra one before the carbie. if that eventually proves to fail, then just run a couple of stock Gen I Rx-7 filters (if your fuel lines will allow it). i've never had a problem with premix ******* a filter on my Rx-7 and i never used anything but stock replacements. i suspect you'll see better results when you switch to 2-stroke - mix at about an ounce per gallon. i think your problem is the type of oil you used.
