Fuel Filter

can you use fuel filters interchangable from different cars. No one has one for me rx7 but one kragen and they want $32 for it. I can get a ford fuel filter with the long ends so i have plenty of room to clamp the hoses down for $7. It wont affect anything will it?

There is a reason they sell fuel filers specifically for specific cars. The flow rates may be different from one car to another. And one manufacturer may have different requirements about how much is an acceptable pressure drop (before/after) the fuel filter.

The correct one is probably also designed to fit into the stock bracket where the Ford one probably will not.

You only have to change them ever few years so why not spend the extra $25.00 and get the right one?
