Look at post#19 in this thread. That guy bigyellowcat is the guy building that 12 rotor. He has a picture of the engine in the other rotary section. It's a work of art.

this is an easy answer..... everything....... besides making the blank...
the advise i would give is decide how your going to do it from start to finish then think about it again... then again several times before you even buy the metal..

Trust me, I'm going to. We bought so chunks of hardwood to use till we are sure that we have everything right. Once we got it, it's just a matter of switching bits

Did you sign up on 417rotary.com?? I thought I saw on the pending requests section this screen name and resent the verification form again. I have a few things to ask since we are going to have the next months meet in Joplin.

nice to see you putting some money to good use, it might just barely fit in a Viper chassis or an old E-type Jag
.

with the amount spent on that engine, I doubt he has any worries about getting the right chassis or $$. Nice work! would love to see it running.

It's going in the back of an Ultima I believe. Super cool project, the sound will be insane

Edit: SL-C, Federighi is right

I believe the engine is intended for a SL-C and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

I couldn’t help but notice on the SL-C website that the RX8 is mysteriously not shown on the comparison chassis rigidity list …

Whats the eccy-shaft layout/firing pattern? I wonder what she'll sound like! I've always wondered about a 5 rotor

Thanks guys,

the chassis is being finished up over the next 12 weeks,
it's setup into a superlite coupe, mid engine monocoque chassis with a 106mm turbo, and a holinger 6 speed sequential

Engine should hopefully be finished up soon, just waiting to get rotating assembly balanced and some additional machine work on housings for auxiliary water ports

Wish I could do more videos and build thread updates but right now focus is all hand on deck to get thru the hard stuff on chassis and engine. Next year videos will start back up!

Hoping for the v10 f1 sound 😎 major 3rd harmony
