FD3S Heavy smoke after Rebuild

Hello , can't find out what's wrong ,please help !!

Car: RHD 1996 Fd3s

i have a dead engine Fd3s which run out of oil by the previous owner, oil is everywhere inside the exhaust, primary turbine shaft was broken and the rear housing was cut by the broken apex seal.

i rebuild it but heavy smoke was found after i start it up, mid and rear housing is new, oil control ring is new, not turbo because spark plug is so black and bad smelling, the weird thing is i was thinking about the OMP but i tear down the engine again, only the front face of the front rotor and the rear face of the raer rotor have bad smell oil burn.

Anyone can give some advice, thanks!!

Pretty normal after a rebuild. You're burning off all the assembly lube and any excess oil residue that was left behind in the exhaust.

I'm sure someone else can chime in on what to look for if its not related to that.

keep running it. a fresh rebuild will smoke. the amount of smoke will vary based on what and how much lube you used for assembly. keep running it and see if it goes away.

I was in the same boat with my FC after I rebuilt it. The heavy smoke went away within an hour or so, but it kept smoking each time I took it out. After 300 miles, probably less, I can confirm in my case the smoking has indeed gone away...
Hope that helps.
