FD Ignition Coils Burning Up!

Anyone ever had the problem where multiple ignition coils repeatedly fail? I have a '94 RX-7 and suddenly an ignition coil failed. Then, they were all replaced with new stock ignition coils and after about 20 minutes of driving, one of them (the trailing one) failed. That was replaced yet again, and then the forward leading one started to smoke while idling! What could cause all the ignition coils to burn up? Everything is stock except the twin turbos have been upgraded.

Well the first thing I would do is check my ignition harness to the coils.

Your answer is in post #2. Your ignition harness to the coils is shot. I can just about guarantee it, since I experienced the same exact symptoms and that's what my problem was.
