FD Alternator relocation
FD Alternator relocation
So I had to pull of the front cover of my REW to fix a leak and now that I have the whole coolant assembly off the motor I would love to not put it back on. It sits really close to my turbo and I would actually love to be able to clock the compressor housing more. So where I am at right now is I would like to go electric water pump and would love to use the adapter to run the coolant lines right off the block. Where im having issues if finding an alternator bracket that would work with this idea on the REW front cover. I have found many for the 12/13b. I was curious if someone knows of a manufacture of what I'm looking for. I will go electric PS if the alternator has to be mounted in its location.
Sakebomb has an electric water pump setup fyi: https://www.sakebombgarage.com/sbg-s...kit-fd3s-rx-7/
maybe check in with them to see how they deal with the alternator mounting.
Race ONly has a nice AST Delete that can provide you some more space if sticking with the stock water pump: https://www.raceonly.com.au/product/...-kit-fd3s-rx7/

I appreciate the response however this kit keeps the whole coolant/alternator factory housing that I am trying to not put back on. My goal is to run the two -16 lines right from the front Iron but this of course loses the alternator mounting. I did find a company that makes when im looking for in the UK from RacingCult but when converted im basically looking at $2k canadian for a bracket lol. Now on a mass search to see if anyone else has made such a great mount for the REW. https://racingcult.co.uk/products/13...nator-kit.html this is the mount if anyone was curious.
