Fc elec. problem: what have i fried????

ive recently bought my first FC after wanting one for years!

after changing the fuel filter on my s4 7, i was quickly reconnecting the battery (disconnected out of habit), talking away when the wrench touched the power steering pulley wheel, causing a big spark.

now when i turn the key, it does not even crank.
the lights dont get dimmer when i try 2 crank, although
the interior lights (clock) do
the fuses under the hood are fine, are there others?

what have i fried?????

check the fuses that are on the left side shock tower in the engine bay.

This is why you remove the NEGATIVE terminal first. The entire car is connected to the negative terminal - so if you touch something else (as long as it's not the positive terminal), you don't get a spark.

That said, while casually tightening my alternator connection today (after getting a dual pulley installed), I got some nice arc against the upper intake. *sigh* Should have remembered to disconnect crap first.

Ah well, nothing fried, and a lesson learned.
