exhaust temp.

i am wondering about the exhuast temp, how high can the tempreture get before the engine brakes?

I got 1100+ celsius degres = almost over 2000 faren.
Iam not running over 12 psi pressure.
and when i load 5 psi the temp sensor shows me 1010 celsius degres.
what can be wrong.
please help.

running lean will make exuast temps rise

I was told that running to rich will also make to the temp rise to. But doesnt seem to be your case.

Do you have the stock exhaust system? If so, you may want to make sure the stock air pump is still installed and that it is blowing air into the cats like it should. Getting a air/fuel meter to see if you are rich or lean is also a good idea.
