Hi guys
Am planning on pulling out my fd's engine and tranny as a hold.
So the question is!! Can I use a 1 ton engine hoist? Or should I get a 2 ton engine hoist??
I've pulled just the engine
(no tranny) with my friends little engine hoist. But it was a few years ago and can't remember what was the weight of it..

 

You'd be fine with either. The whole car only weighs 1.5 tons.

 

If 2 people can lift and move these motor/trans connected, a 1 ton is more than enough
