My check engine light is displaying 2 codes. 18 and 27. Does anybody know what they are? I called Dave at KD and his answer was tps and meetering oil pump(over the phone). I just want to check with you guys see if there can be something else to it. I know, its just wishful thinking on my part, but I'm hoping to get some peace of mind as I just stored my FD for the winter and the FC will be my daily driver till spring. Will it last that long on a bad oil meetering pump? I know, Im babying it so no reving over 3k rpms... ok maybe 3500 but thats it.

Yes, 18 is the TPS...I believe it is the wide band, not the narrow which is 12. For 27, I can't remember what that one is without my manual.

If you are that concerned about running a potentially bad OMP than start adding premix oil to your gas until you can find out how to do a diagnostic on the OMP to confirm if it's good or bad. Go to the http://www.teamfc3s.org/cgi-bin/webb...i?action=intro site and post a question on how to check the OMP to see whether or not it is functioning correctly.

Another permanent solution is to take a manual OMP off a 86-87 and replace your computer controlled one in the spring when your FD is back online. Hope this helps.
