Cool engine

I have a 1987 RX thats been sitting for about a year and a half on my driveway and the catalitic converter is clogged; Can anybody tell me how to check to see if the engine is not locked from sitting too long???

Hook up a good battery and turn the key! If the starter is suspect or other things might be trouble put a socket on the bolt on the front e shaft pully and try that way.

Before you do either I would pull the plugs and squirt some oil in the engine to help things out. Maybe even treat it like its locked with some penetrating oil.

Use a 19mm socket on the main pulley and turn it over by hand. You can always dump some automatic tranny fluid in the spark plug holes to lubricate the internals and help build compression if you wanna start it.
