Electrical Problem!! please help...

When I start my car the volts stay at 12.....but if i ever turn anything on..the voltage slowy goes down. When i sit at idle i hooked my volt meter to the car and watched the volts slowy go down one by one....but if i turn the car off. They increase about 1 volt every 4 seconds. I cleaned my grounds and the alt is fairly new. I am fed up....anyone know what the problem could be.

just sounds like a bad battery or alternator again. Very unlikely that it is anything else. Is your alt self regulated? Did you get the alternater at autozone? Sometimes you have to try a few times to get a good one.
