Efini vs Anfini

What's the difference between these nomenclatures? It seems like mazda calls the 2nd gen an Efini and the 3rd gen an Anfini. And what do each of them mean? Just curious

You've got that a bit mixed up.

There were a limited number of 2nd Gen models available only in Japan called Infini, that had less weight and a bit more power, plus other goodies.

3rd Gen RX-7's in Japan were not sold as Mazda's, but through their Efini sales channels.

So why does Mazda's site call the 3rd gen an "Anfini" and a special 2nd gen an "Enfini"?
