effects of turbo on smog check
He everybody... I have a urgent question regarding turbocharging and smog check.
I have a 1993 FD with the stock turbos. However my primary turbo (the second one that kicks in) ...I think thats the primary. Well anyways, the 2nd turbo is not kicking in. Due to either the wastegate or vacuum hoses that popped off.. everybody knows that this is a common problem....
Well my question is, What affect does this have on SMOG? I need to do a smog check at the state ref but don't know If I will pass. With only one turbo running will the car be running cleaner or not? Should I go and fix my 2nd turbo before attempting the smog check or should I just go ahead and do it with only one turbo working? Thanks guys.
