ECU Problem

Hello,

I am having problems with my 1993 RX7 twin turbo touring addition. I sent my computer in to have it up graded, the new upgrade was suppose to change the fuel system and the timing to give it more horse power. When I got it back my car would only run about 30 miles per hour, so I sent it back, when I got it back they returned the computer back to stock. Then when I reinstalled it the car would still not start, no codes would come up. So I found another ECU and after installing it in the car would still not start and the codes will not come up. Could it have altered the sensors, and if so which sensor would it be and how could I find it since the car will not spit out any codes. Where should I start looking? Would an obd code scanner tell me the problem and if so where could I find one for this make of car.

Thanks again,

Bill

Does it try to start or does it just click. What exactly are the not-starting traits?

If it just clicks or attempts to start but paces slow, it may be a power issue, possibly battery or electrical problem.

If it tries to start and seems like it has plenty of power the engine may be flooded.

I'm not sure on the sensor issue, installing a stock ECU should work reguardless of what you had in there before because that should reset everything. Try to disconnect the battery and then hold down the brake for 30 seconds then reconnect everything.
