Early fuel cut off? How come?

I was having some trouble not being able to boost over 5lbs, otherwise car was revving and running fine. I found a couple leaks, plugged em and patched em, and now i'm boosting fine (fine being I can hit 10lbs again, still having trouble when raising boost) however every so often, and it seems to be completely random, I won't be able to rev above about 6k, even happens on cool nights when shes as warmed up as she can get, i don't really have any idea why this would happen so any help would be appreciated
