Diagnostic Module Help

Hey guys,

I recently messed up pretty bad and need some help trying to undo what I did. While messing with some other cabling near the gauge cluster, I unplugged the two main connectors to the diagnostic module before reading the large warning saying not to do that. Since then I've had some issues with the engine. Firstly, I've noticed that the radiator fan(s) won't turn on when the engine comes on. Also, the engine is idling about 500 rpm higher than usual. The intake is making some funny noises that I can't pinpoint what it is or what it could be. I haven't done anything other than let it idle until warm before shutting off since then with no hard revving about 3k.

All the research I've done on the diagnostic module to this point has only mentioned that it controls the airbags, so I'm not sure how it would affect the cooling system.

As much as I would like to go back in time and undo my boneheaded move, I'm just looking at what I can do to correct my mistake. I pulled the diagnostic module out in hopes that I could re-solder a dead resistor or other component, but nothing seems to be broken on the circuitboard itself. Some people say a common issue is a 1/4 watt 10 amp resistor used as a fuse, but I'm not sure. Could this be the issue? Would replacing the entire module help? Is the module even the issue or would it be some other important electronic control?

Thanks very much for any assistance.
